Material Note: Oya Stone

A piece of Oya stone arrived today.

I tested it with a drop of lavender oil.

The diffusion was gentle, quiet, and clear — enough to tell me that the material works.

The balance of stone, wood, and cloth is still something I am searching for.

Nothing is finished yet.

But little by little, the form begins to reveal itself.

Some projects do not start with a plan.

They start with a material that feels true.
